Timeless Hamptons Renovation

As Featured In “Home Beautiful” Magazine

Originally an old four room workers cottage built circa 1910, this renovation is a remarkable transformation from yesteryear to timeless classic.

To achieve the complete dedication to the desired aesthetic, many of the features of this renovation had to be hand crafted including quarried limestone tiles and re-machined recycled jarrah floor boards.

Handmade ceramic tiles were fully imported; timber architraves, skirtings and mouldings were individually machined to match existing profiles; and timber windows and doors were reproduced using the same joinery methods employed a century ago.

The final outcome is a magnificent example of a modern enduring design that still retains the character, features and warmth of the original home.

Challis Builders were approached to have this renovation featured in “Home Beautiful” magazine, to our knowledge the first building project in Bunbury to be featured in this iconic nationally circulated publication.
